Pride (In the name of Marcus)

I'm so proud. I can hardly stand it.

Sunday, August 24th (one month and one day after Simeon's birthday) my sister gave birth to Marcus Kai Williams. On that day, I found out that there is such thing as love at no sight. I haven't met Marcus, won't meet him until Christmas, but gosh, I love that little boy.

I can't type anymore and expect to keep my eyes dry. So, I'm just gonna stop. But not before I say — I couldn't be more proud.

  1. I was on the hunt for pics of little Marcus, so I tracked you down! Share my love with Jill and Jeremy. Tell them I love them and can't wait to see more pics and meet the little guy at Christmas!

I have enjoyed reading your blogs, too! It takes me back to when my boys were little and all of those feelings and emotions were so new and fresh. There's nothing like it, is there? Tell Sarah I said hello!

  2. Yea!! I too was on the hunt for pictures. I check your blog at least once a week, Ry. Congrats are definitely in order to you and Sarah and I know your Mom and Dad have to be so thrilled. Simeon and Marcus are perfect!!! It's going to be so awesome to have them growing up together so close in age. Lots of fun ahead for you all.
I sent my dad a link to your blog too and he LOVES it! It's brought mom and I to tears, joyous tears, of course seeing the growth of your families. I too, am so, so proud!
    Lots of Love,

  3. I was holding Marcus, standing next to Jill when she tearfully read your post. Marcus sneezed twice and I said to him, "Your Uncle Ryan is writing about you already!" He seemed to grin approvingly as he searched in vain for some nourishment from me.

Oh, and he said, "Tell Uncle Ry and Aunt Sarah I can't wait to meet them---and I'm especially excited to meet Cousin Simeon!"

    Love,

  4. Wow, Sarah Bowen. It's very good for my ego (Sarah may disagree) to know my blog readership reaches all the way to Texas (or OK, or wherever you and your mom and dad are).

Thanks for the kind words. It's good to know that my old friends haven't forgotten me.

Amanda, there really is nothing like it. Nothing that I've found yet, but I'll be on the look out, 'cause if there's more things like it, I want to be a part of it.

    Grandpa,

You can tell Marcus that Simeon matches his enthusiasm for the much-anticipated meeting.
